1990-91 One year compulsory rotatory internship at KMC Hospital, Hubli in all clinical specialities.Included rural health training for 3 months.
1992-93 Asst Lecturer in Pathology at Pravara Medical College, Loni, India.
1993-96 Trained in General surgery operations at K R Hospital Mysore during 3 year programme leading to M S degree. Had speciality postings in Cardiothoracic surgery, Neurosurgery, Onco-surgery, Urology,Plastic surgery and Paediatric Surgery.
Oct '96 -April '97 Senior resident in Oncosurgery at Batra Hospital. New Delhi, INDIA.
May '97 -Feb '98 Resident surgeon at Escorts Heart Institute and Research centre, Delhi. Where in I developed interest in Cardiac surgery.

  • Presented a paper titled “Perineal ectopic testis” at surgical society meeting of Association of surgeons of India, Mysore chapter.

Future Goals

I want to grow up as a complete cardio thoracic surgeon. Presently I am working as chief cardiac surgeon and doing mainly adult cardiac work. However I am having a wide interest in adult cardiac, congenital, thoracic and vascular surgeries, and my special interest is in “Heart transplantation” and “Total artificial heart”.
